The Travel Begins
In late 2024, we decided we wanted more from life than screens and commutes. So we saved every penny, quit our stable corporate jobs, and waved goodbye to London. With two backpacks and no real plan, we set off on a year-long adventure that took us across South & Central America, Oceania, and Asia.
Aug 2025
The Idea
12 countries down, with 5 left to go - everything changed. From smoky street food in Peru to fragrant curries in Sri Lanka, we discovered new ways to cook, eat, and live. We fell in love with flavours we couldn't find back home, and that's where The Chilli Trail began. We knew these flavours deserved to be shared and whilst still on the road, we started building our brand.

Building The Brand
So, we started experimenting. Small batches, endless tweaks. Every hostel kitchen became our test lab, adjusting the heat and flavours - sharing with any locals or travellers willing to try. At the same time, we started our branding and only a month later, had signed off our first design.

Back with a Bang
When we returned home, funds were almost non-existent, so we started small. Every jar is hand-crafted in Harriet's mums kitchen in Brighton, using only clean, quality ingredients - no preservatives, no nonsense. Just bold, honest heat, exactly as we tasted in abroad.
Nov 2025
Launch Day
After countless trial batches, late-night label designs, lots of mistakes and plenty of laughter (and chilli burns), the Chilli Trail officially launched. What started as a dream on the road had become something real!

We're only at the beginning of this journey, but we can't wait to grow the Chilli Trail into something truly special and to continue to bring the world's heat, heart and heritage to your home.
